Tied in sizes 12-16, these flies are hand tied by me in Oregon and are tied on a per order basis. Using top quality materials, Order a selection as part of your staple of flies when light yellow colored mayflies, stoneflies and/or caddis are hatching. Designed to be swung on a two handed 2-4 wt trout spey rod or single handed 3-5 wt single hand Micro skagit rod and swing it through fishy looking water. This pattern is very effective on the lower McKenzie River redsides when the size 12 yellow Drake mayflies and size 14-16 little yellow stoneflies are coming off from April through early September. At times it’s the only fly I swing from early July through mid September on both the lower McKenzie River and Upper Middle Fork of the Willamette River where I fish.
As part of the mission of Two Rivers Flyfishing of Catch and Release and Keep Em Wet on all flies tied, I now use wide gape barbless hooks on each and every wet fly.
