A very effective pattern for when Blue Winged Olive mayflies are hatching in size 16 & 18 starting in Mid September when the weather starts to cool off throughout the fall and winter on the lower McKenzie River and Upper Middle fork of the Willamette River. Swing these on your 0-3 weight Trout Spey or 3 or 4wt single hand micro skagit setup using a 5′ or 7 1/2′ Floating, Hover or Intermediate Polyleader with about 3-4′ of either 4x or 5x tippet
