In sizes 8-10 these flies are hand tied by me in Oregon and are tied on a per order basis.
Using top quality natural materials, Order a selection as part of your staple of flies when these large caddis flies are hatching. A very effective pattern, specifically in sizes 8 & 10 on the McKenzie River in Oregon and the first major hatch that brings bigger fish into the feed. An effective must have pattern when fishing starting in mid to late April – this hatch is also known locally as the “Mothers Day Hatch”. The unique color (Almost looks like Wintergreen in color) of the body is a custom color specific to the local conditions and might work for other areas as well. Whitings saddle soft hackle is used instead of Partridge as I feel the dun coloration is more natural compared to the lighter speckling of Partridge.
